The use of the general noun God in oral discourse in conversation is not unusual; it is relatively common. It is difficult in principle to object to such a practice, keeping in mind the specific conversational style which implies, in various types of contexts, to which God the speaker is referring, for it is predetermined with the speaker's “primarily implied” religious belief, thus determining the various contexts. However, religious texts, especially those that present the content of the primary sources of Islamic teaching, characterised with so called sacral functional style wherein a substitution of the proper noun Allah with a general noun God/god (upper case or lower case capital letter) changes the essential code of the entire text, thus making the religious/ sacral text to ‘undetermined’, ambiguous and blurred in regards to the most essential aspect in Islam and that is differentiation of Islamic monotheism from all the other religions even in regards to other so called monotheistic religions. Qur’an is very explicit and crystal clear in this regard: There is no god but Allah.  Finally, the Qur’an was revealed to the Messenger Muhammad s.w.s. as an intervention to all the deviations that evolved through hierohistory and history within a domain of explicit monotheism.  In this regard, the Qur’an states explicitly, in several places, that Allah is different from the representation of God even in Jewish and Christian religious traditions. Overlooking this repeatedly explicit statement in Qur’an, in the name of so-called oneness of God in all monotheistic religions – and all that in sacral texts- represents a ‘distortion of pure’ Islamic monotheism, and, therefore, distorts the mission of Muhammad s.w.s.
