Abstract

UDK 28-57(532)

Hajj is the fifth Islamic obligation prescribed in the ninth year of Hijrah. To perform the Hajj once in life is the strict obligation upon each adult Muslim (male or female alike), who are mentally sound and physically capable and have sufficient material means. However there are some differences or exemptions that Allah Ta’ala provided for women in performing Hajj. These are mostly regarding: ihram, tawaf, sa‘ay, Muzdalifu, tawafuz-ziyareh, tawafu-l-wadah, throwing the stones, cutting hair and mahram.
