The last interview for Novi muallim, raisu-l-ulama Dr. Husein ef. Kavazović gave at the beginning of his mandate as Raisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzego-vina. Now we are at the end of seven years mandate during which significant changes took place making impacts upon the Islamic Community as well as upon entire Muslim world. Waves of challenges and dilemmas have risen jeopardising not only our spiritual identity, but also our biological survival. These crises require most urgent attention of entire world, but greatest responsibility is upon political and academic circles as well as upon religious communities. The Muslim world is facing crisis that is reaching its boiling point and is reflected in waves of migrants at our doorstep. For months now Bosnia and Herzegovina is permanently in the state of political crisis and the Islamic Community of B&H is undergoing structur-al changes the consequences of which (positive or negative) we are yet to see. Many positive trends are evident, but the question is how to tackle the risks that inevitable part of any reform. These are the reasons why we decided to once again choose Raisu-l-ulama Dr. Husein-ef. Kavazović for the in-terview for this issue of Muallim.
