This article presents a short reflection upon the institution of taqya in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a place of worship and its present potential for development of religious tourism. It brings a short history of the institution of taqya in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as a review of its religious, cultural and social dimensions. The article also suggests a possible itinerary whereby three taqyas in which the zikr is preformed by different sufi orders (tarikats) is visited, where tourist would be in one day introduced to the features of these three tarikats and their differences and similarities. The aim of such an itinerary is presentation of tradition and cultural heritage of these taqyas as well as the variety of sufi tarikats and different practicing of the zikr, thus showing the connection, correlation and coexistence between mosques and taqyas.
