This paper deals with the Sharia-legal status and regulations concerning singing songs, listening to and performing music, as well as playing, possessing, and buying and selling musical instruments, through the prism of legal arguments and the views of Islamic scholars from the classical and contemporary period. It is a current and important issue that concerns the everyday life of Muslims in the East and in the West, who, with or without intention, sometimes in passing or by force of circumstances, listen to musical performances. Through Sharia-legal arguments and the views of Islamic scholars, it is necessary to further clarify this issue, which we have done in this paper.
