TEACHING PREPARATION FOR PRACTICAL CLASS OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES TEACHING UNIT

The author hereby presents written preparation for religious studies class for the first grade of primary school. The type of the class is : presentation of new teaching unit. The objective of the class is introducing to students terminology related to mosque interior, the role of mosque in life of a Muslim. Besides, the teaching unit aims at teaching students the proper code of conduct that is to be observed at the occasion of visiting a mosque (we enter a mosque in proper clean and decent clothing, quietly with the right foot first), encouraging love and respect for a mosque and the awareness that a mosque is a house of God, encouraging students to learn and have positive attitude and interests for learning, stressing the importance of hygiene and developing esthetic values by introducing them to the appearance and the architecture of a mosque.
