CORRELATION BETWEEN STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT IN PRIMARY SCHOOL AND HIS ACHIEVEMENT IN GAZI HUSREFBEY MADRASA

Using the method of analysis of school documentation and comparative method author observes the possible correlation between general achievement of students in their primary school and their success achieved in the first semester in Gazi Husref-bey madrasa. Sample for the research were one hundred and twenty four students of the first grade in madrasa coming from sixty seven primary schools of the following cantons in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Sarajevo, Zenica-Doboj, Central-Bosnia, Herzegovina-Neretva, Una- Sana and Tuzla, one student coming from Switzerland one from Belgium and one from Turkey. Along with the results of the study that show evident decline of students achievement compared to their achievement in primary school, the author offers suggestions for possible ways for overcoming such situation.
