A LESSON PLAN FOR A CLASS IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION

Abstract

A lesson plan was written for treating new teaching material on the topic of ahlak and the teaching unit „A Muslim Enriches Himself with Knowledge“. The author of this lesson plan attempted to create as many short activities as he could so as to maintain the attention of his students for as long as possible and so that the learning of new content would be made more interesting. The teaching hour was created so that the students would acquire new teaching content in a relaxed atmosphere filled with games, songs, group work, an animated film and other interesting activities. During the teaching hour the interaction of all the teaching subjects was equally represented and its aim was to develop, among students, critical thinking, culture of dialogue and the feelings of valuing personal success as well as the success of others. Different tasks on the teaching page for homework are designed to make possible the progress of every student – which is the demand of modern teaching and learning. Through use of various demonstrations, the author realized a co-relation with other teaching subjects. For example, the illustrations on the envelope which is to be received by the group „Authors“ will create a co-relation with the Bosnian language and will promote some famous Bosnian and Herzegovinian poets and writers. The last activity in this class was the watching of a cartoon which would allow the children to rest from assigned work and will also serve as a conclusion to this teaching hour – that knowledge is necessary for success.
