Abstract

The United Nations have passed numerous resolutions and convention on human rights, the rights of children, etc. This work treats the Convention on the Rights of Children in respect to the children of Palestine. It focuses on only two basic rights – the right to life and freedom of every child. Based on the reports and studies of the international humanitarian organizations, especially „Defence for Children International-Palestine Section“, the inability of the Palestinian children to realize their fundamental rights, such as the right to life and freedom is evident. The Israeli army is systematically killing the Palestinian children, taking them to the military prisons where they are tried according to the Israeli military law. Israel is a member of the United Nations and a signatory nation of all the declarations and conventions discussed in this work, and the number of killed, detained and abused children by the Israeli army is horrific.
