In this article we present a review of globally popular phenomenon of social networks from the perspective of Fiqh and Edeb. In the introduction part we explain that Islam answers every issue concerning human life and the Islamic law attempts to regulate the behaviour within Muslim community. Then we gave definition, a short historical view and a classification of social networks. We also reflected upon earlier studies of the phenomenon of social networks in the Muslim world. And, finally, we concluded that the study of this phenomenon does not have attention it deserves, neither amongst the Muslims in general or amongst the Muslim scholars in particular. Then we discussed the Fiqh regulations regarding this new field of learning, the most important rules of Islamic comport/etiquette on social networks and some advises how the social network can be used for positive purposes. We end with the conclusion part where we bring some final assessments.
