Abstract

Some 60 years of the duration of European integration processes have led, starting with the initial unication of the original six Western European countries, to creation of the European Union which today includes 28 countries with population of 500 million, 4.3 million km2, and 30% of world’s GDP. The main goal is development of the European Union as a space of freedom, justice and security. For Bosnia and Herzegovina and the West Balkan countries, the process of EU integration is taking place within the political framework of stabilization and association as alternative to non-democracy, instability and setbacks.
