THE FUNDAMENTAL PILLARS OF NASR’S THEOLOGY OF NATURE

Abstract

This text relates about the fundamental pillars of Nasr's theology of nature regarding following concepts: ecology, ecological crisis – spiritual deterioration, Islamic discourse regarding ecology, nature as naturata i natura naturans, religion-Revelation-reason. For all the traditional cosmological studies, weather their source is religion or not, every natural phenomenon reflects the presence of God that gives it divine aspect. On the other hand, modern civilisation negates all especially religious traditions. For professor Nasr, however, tradition represents the roots of one unitary tree that spreads it versatile and reach branches of spiritual, intellectual and cultural experience of any community.
