CONFRONTING THE STRESS CAUSED BY THE POOR GRADE

The phenomenon of stress has been a concern of the authors and the scientists in theoretical as well as in methodological plane, this is primarily due to belief that the stress is a cause of numerous difficulties in a human life. Studies have shown that that the failure at school is the most common source of stress in children of school age. Here author presents relevant researches and studies that have been carried out on the topic of “stress caused by the poor grades at school”. He attempts to present a number of factors that are the cause of stress in general and those that cause stress at school in particular. Gender, age and various other individual differences together influence the manner in which a student will react to a situation and the way in which he will confront the stress. Confronting the stress in a way where a primary concern is the problem that is the cause of stress aims at resolving the problem, and if the emotion is a primary concern in confronting the stress than the confrontation aims at reducing the emotional pain.
