The first part of this article elaborates on the term critical thinking itself. The second part discusses aspects of philosophy for children (P4C), the methodology of Matthew Lipman, which aims at encouraging and developing a critical, creative, caring/empathising, and collaborative thought in students, with some guidelines for implementing relevant methods in the education process in the world and in our country. The third part of this article focuses on Hikmah pedagogy (HP), which represents an adopted P4C program with a partially different approach which emphasises the Islamic perspective of metaphysics, epistemology and ethics. The fourth part of the article elaborates on the main theme of this research work pertaining to the activities of Mreža mladih (Youth net) in developing critical thinking, and evaluates to what extent critical thinking is encouraged and developed in the Maktab class. Finally, it also offers some suggestions for improvements in this regard.
