Abstract

Due to a wide spread use of test (examinations) in various fields of human activities and the significance given to the results of these tests, test anxiety ,i.e. set of phenomenological, physiological behavioral reactions to the possible negative consequences of the failure in the evaluation, has in the last three decades become the subject of growing number of researches. Researchers discovered, among other things, the correlation between test anxiety and the poor results at the evaluation of the same as well as poor physical health of students. This article summarizes basic information about the concept of test anxiety, its fundamental determinants, symptoms as well as the ways in which teachers, by modifying the test environment and the manner of applying the test situation can help students with the problem of test anxiety.
