This work deals with a scientific approach to research as well as the less scientific one. The very separation of the phenomenon and the essence imposes the necessity of this differentiation. Within the scientific-research method, a clear distinction is made between the starling point of observation and an idea and the starting point of opinion. These two starting points cannot be regarded as identical. This identification brings forth the epistemological limitations which emerge in different rival methodological approaches to research. The movement from the abstract to the realistic is the nucleus of the scientific method. It is this method which precisely makes the epistemological and methodological digressions impossible. With it, a natural union of the qualitative and the quantitative is established within the research result itself.
