The tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina constitutes an important component of the country's overall cultural history. Although a considerable number of heritage sites belonging to this legacy have been designated as National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the preservation of some of them is now seriously endangered. Drawing on the report Analysis of the State of the Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the aim of this paper is to identify the extent and causes of the endangerment of national monuments owned by the Islamic Community within the territory of the Bihać Muftiate. The research finds eight national monuments in this muftiate whose condition has been assessed as endangered and the causes of their endangerment are examined in detail and supported by photographic documentation.
